Mr. Dierdorf joined Ms. McLaughlin's firm as an associate in 2015 and immediately began making substantive contributions to the firm's diverse employment law practice through successful motion practice and settlement negotiations in dozens of pending matters. Mr. Dierdorf represents employees in state and federal lawsuits involving wage and hour violations, employment discrimination, and retaliation, as well as in arbitration proceedings involving a wide range of employment disputes. Mr. Dierdorf also negotiates employment and severance agreements and represents employees in matters before the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, Illinois Department of Human Rights, and Illinois Department of Employment Security. Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Dierdorf worked at a well-respected civil litigation defense firm where he focused his practice on representing lawyers and physicians in professional liability litigation.

Mr. Dierdorf graduated magna cum laude from Chicago-Kent College of Law in 2014. During law school, Mr. Dierdorf gained practical litigation experience by serving as judicial extern to the Honorable David Atkins in the Circuit Court of Cook County, as well as law clerk for Ms. McLaughlin, law clerk for the Chicago-Kent Employment Litigation Clinic, and summer associate for a civil defense firm. As a law student, Mr. Dierdorf served as Editor of the Seventh Circuit Review law journal, Member of the Moot Court Honor Society, Teaching Assistant for Civil Procedure, and Mentor to first-year students. Mr. Dierdorf received two CALI Awards for Academic Excellence, Dean's List Honors every semester, and a merit-based scholarship in recognition of his academic performance.
